Every day we do our best to optimize the purity and diversity of every single product. We turn the simple experience of “eating” into an adventurous visit to a restaurant and serve you modern dishes in a classic ambience.
Visual and physical enjoyment – that is what we attach great importance to. In our star restaurant near Stuttgart you can expect a very varied and high-quality cuisine that focuses on selected products and the highest quality. Years of experience, a love of the region and pleasure trips all over the world have shown us that it doesn’t take much to create a variety of flavors. In our
creations, we focus on a few basic components and create true diversity by playing with preparation methods and textures. In the end, each plate is a fine mixture of homesickness and wanderlust – and a tasteful one-off.
HEIMWEH | FERNWEH for us, means the largest possible selection of regional products in combination with Swabian down-to-earth attitude and serenity and, on the other hand, the inspiration of other countries and cultures. For the coming months we will pay tribute to our homeland in our menus. That is why our current topic is called “Homage to Swabia”. It’s not about reinterpreting classic dishes, but rather interpreting the Swabian food culture in a modern way with all its facets.

Our credo is to approach court with a sense of home and open to the world. In this way we awaken tasteful wanderlust with different influences, aromas of the sea and culinary surprises from different kitchens, without losing sight of our home. Because the origin and history of people and meals are the starting point for our culinary paths – and a very special philosophy.
In our restaurant in Bietigheim, we pay special attention to the restricted use of carbohydrates. In principle, however, we do not completely do without it. At the same time, we show the courage to use spices and strong flavors and turn away from the normally frowned upon sharpness in
upscale gastronomy.
We would like to amaze you with our unique flavor combinations and give you an unforgettable time with us. For us, the Michelin star acquired by our head chef Benjamin Maerz is an incentive to present our guests with honest and confident culinary art every day.
